Purpose Audit

Purpose-inspired living is about aligning your actions and choices with a deeper sense of meaning and value.

It’s more than just having goals; it’s about understanding why those goals matter to you.

It’s about being the author of your own story. It’s feeling fulfilled through your actions and experiences.

It’s about connecting to yourself and an internal compass that guides and motivates you.

Reflecting on Your Results

Total ScoreInsight
12–15Thriving: You are living with high alignment. Focus on mentoring others or deepening your current practices.
8–11Emerging: You have a solid foundation but may be neglecting one or two key areas. Look for the “lowest” score to find your growth point.
4–7In Transition: You are likely in a season of change. Consider creating an impact statement to start making more conscious, small-scale choices.
0–3Seeking: You may feel disconnected or burnt out. Consider some self-discovery activities including a personal charter —you can’t navigate if you don’t know where your navigational markers are or your vision for the future!

Why does this actually matter?

It’s good for your mental health. Studies show that people with a strong sense of purpose feel less anxious, handle stress better, and bounce back faster when things go wrong. Knowing your “why” makes the hard stuff easier to push through.

It makes decisions easier. When you know what you stand for, a lot of choices basically make themselves. Without purpose, every decision feels like a tug-of-war between what other people want from you.

It protects you from just drifting. Most people don’t wreck their lives by making terrible choices — they lose direction by making no real choices and just going along with whatever happens. Purpose keeps you from sleepwalking through life.

It’s more reliable than chasing happiness. Happiness comes and goes — it’s more of a feeling than a destination. Purpose gives you something steadier: the sense that your life matters, even on days that feel hard or boring.

It affects the people around you. How you show up as a friend, teammate, or family member is shaped by whether you feel directed or just lost. People can feel the difference.

The bottom line:

A life built around what matters to you and is authentically you

feels more fulfilling and satisfying

than one built around fitting in or following other people’s vision for your life.
